Conversion Training
Already a pilot? Convert your existing licence to the ultralight gyrocopter. Your previous training is credited, so you focus on what is new: rotor handling, gyrocopter flight characteristics and special procedures.
Conversion training is suitable for:
- UL aeroplane pilots
- Helicopter pilots
- PPL(A) / CPL(A) pilots
- Licensed pilots
- Glider pilots
- Flight instructors
- Trike pilots

How does it work?
Licence Check and Briefing
We review your licence and plan your training.
Flight Training
Dual and solo flights at Stenkovec with your instructor.

Examination
Theory exam and practical check flight for your gyrocopter licence.
What does the training include?
During your conversion training you will:
Learn pre-rotation and rotor RPM control
Master gyrocopter take-offs and landings
Practise slow flight and vertical descent
Train emergency and off-field landings
Fly cross-country to other airfields
Complete your solo flights with confidence
Which licences are accepted?
UL aeroplane, PPL(A) and CPL(A) pilots can convert, as well as glider, trike and helicopter pilots. Your existing licence is checked at the start of training.
Do I have to repeat all theory?
No. You only complete the subjects not covered by your current licence, mainly gyrocopter aerodynamics and special procedures.

How long does the training take?
Aeroplane pilots need at least 30 flights, glider, trike and helicopter pilots at least 50. With good weather this is often possible in around two weeks.
Which aircraft do you train on?
You train on modern two-seat Magni gyrocopters. Our base is Stenkovec Airfield near Skopje.
